Control-M Application Support Engineer:The ideal candidate for this role will have operations, application support, and development experience across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments consisting of AWS, Linux, and Windows. The role will support an existing MFT application support team and bring development and SRE experience to help implement automation to improve efficiency and productivity across infrastructure while also decreasing manual error prone processes.Task and Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line of support across a large range of Workload Scheduling (BMC Control-M), Observability (Big-Panda)
  • Own and drive incidents and problems to completion for our services, including log analysis, engagement of vendor support, and team representation during major incident calls
  • Participate in weekly on call rotation to provide 24x7 support
  • Work closely and in partnership with various operational support teams, development teams, project managers, vendors, and internal clients
  • Monitor our tooling and servers performance and efficiency
  • Check, control, modify and apply security settings (following the principal of least privileges, document deviations) on operating system, services, and applications
  • Support implementation of change requests.
  • Installation of Linux and Windows operating system patches on a quarterly cycle
  • Participate in DR exercises scheduled with engineering and architecting team.
  • Provided DevOps support in an operational role.
  • Cloud migration experience of Control-M application from one cloud provider to another.
Qualifications:
  • Post Graduate / 5 or more years of Application Support Experience
  • Logic based automations using APIs, MS Flows. Workflows, and RPAs
  • Stay up to date with industry trends
  • ITIL foundation certification (preferred)
