The business is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.BUSINESS UNITThe Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm\'s assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs\' finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analysis of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm\'s businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth.The Investment Accounting team performs the accounting and reporting functions under local as well as USGAAP for the firm\'s investments in various real estate, loan and private equity portfolios.RESPONSIBILITIES\xc2\xb7 Prepare monthly/quarterly/ annual financial accounts closing for multiple entities as per local and USGAAP requirements and disclosures;\xc2\xb7 Provide variance analysis for such FS\xc2\xb7 Basic knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS (preferred)\xc2\xb7 Manage quarterly Balance sheet substantiation and SOX process\xc2\xb7 Support intercompany balances, reconciliations, payments etc\xc2\xb7 Coordinate year end audits\xc2\xb7 Responsible for cash management, payments and quarterly capital planning process\xc2\xb7 Assist in ad hoc requests for financial information of entities assigned\xc2\xb7 Review/prepare tax calculations including corporate income tax and Goods and Services Tax\xc2\xb7 Liaise with other internal departments within the firm (e.g. tax, legal, treasury, deal teams, middle office) globally in the course of his/ her work.SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE\xc2\xb7 CA/ CPA qualification with strong accounting knowledge\xc2\xb7 Basic excel and MS office skills essential\xc2\xb7 Accuracy and attention to details\xc2\xb7 Candidate must be team oriented and proactiveABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
