We re currently looking to add a Control System - Team Lead to lead our Engineering team at Siemens Energy India, working as part of the Engineering Controls Leadership team you will be responsible for the design and development of Control Systems for Siemens Energy Gas Services The ideal candidate will have design and field engineering experience in the oil gas and power generation industry for Gas Turbine package and systems This position involves Control System engineering from conception to completion for Control System of Aero derivative gas turbine applications Responsibilities include: - Lead ad Manager a team of 5 to 10 control system engineers and designers. - To be able to develop solution to replace obsolete equipment/parts to able to maintain the businesses fleet of Aero derivative gas turbines. - To convert these solutions into generic replacement kits/parts for retrofitting. - To be able to design/construct new hardware solutions to replace obsolete controls system or upgrade current control systems. - Identify and rectify problems found during testing of software/hardware and supporting the commissioning team during installation of equipment/software. - Support sales by supplying detailed quotes with regards to engineering times/potential hardware requirements/possible engineering solutions with regards to customer enquiries. - Evaluation of Control System for new and modernization installations, I/O list preparation, Control narrative, alarm trip matrix, function diagram, sequence diagrams, Cause Effect etc. - Participate in Design review meeting, site readiness meeting, factory acceptance testing. - Digital and Analogue systems design knowledge. - Knowledge of Engineering Process and gas turbine package application. - Conceptualize the control design and present it to customer as part of customer design review. - Basic and detailed engineering of Control cabinets - Create Loop drawings Field instrumentation. - Working knowledge on PLC hardware and I/O types. - Working knowledge on Connectivity of third-party systems with PLC. - Heat load calculation for PLC cabinets. - Basic knowledge of IT networking for Control system. - Guides the design, development, and implementation of very complex hardware solutions while adhering to manufacturing capabilities. - Provide back-office support as well as onsite support of control system startup to field commissioning team. - Prepares and updates engineering documentation including installation work packages. - Participates in site installation commissioning. - Familiarity with Studio 5000 is required. Knowledge in the following areas is required: - Demonstrated team leadership. - Demonstrates advance knowledge of professional principles and skills. Effectively use fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of area of specialization. Typically, 10 to 15 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable. - Working experience with industrial controls systems applications and industrial IT networks, specific experience with Allen Bradly Control Logix, Rockwell Studio 5000 and Siemens S7, Siemens S7 TIA, PCS7, WinCC would be advantageous or having worked with similar products used for the control and protection of industrial gas turbine technology or general process plant operations. - Working knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT related tools and software for business analytics and project management. - Experience of working with gas turbine technology or similar industrial products for Oil Gas or Energy industry would be advantageous, but experience from other industries with transferrable skills could also be considered. - Practitioner of a Systems Engineering approach to product improvement is highly desirable. Requirement: - Must have BE/BTech in Electrical/Electronics and Instrumentation or Instrumentation Engineering or its equivalent with 10-15 years of experience. - Candidates with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience in the field of Gas Turbine controls. - Aero-derivative gas turbine knowledge a plus - A team player with strong problem-solving skills and task oriented. This person would preferably be self-motivated, has good time management and willing to learn. - Experience working in project teams or task groups. - Travel 15% - 20%
