Control Engineer
Job Description
The Controls Engineer would be responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, maintaining, and updating PLC PLC-based system using the Codesys development platform. The person will have to understand the new and changed requirements, analyze the existing code, and convert the functional requirements into the PLC program. Understands and implements interlocks and safety mechanisms required in Electrical and Energy Management Systems. Produces and maintains wiring diagrams and control schematics (SLD) in AutoCAD. Skills/Expertise Required The person should have hands-on experience in application development, systems integration, testing, and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI/DCS using the Codesys development platform. Experience with any other standard platform (Siemens, Schneider, Allen Bradley, or Delta) would also be beneficial. Should have an understanding of standard notations used in electrical systems and ladder programming notations. Experience in handling industrial protocols like Modbus, Profibus, EthernetIP, DNP3, etc. Experience in setting up and integrating with OPC Server and OPC Client. Interfacing and control of the field equipment like VFDs, Relays, Contactors, and Actuators.
