About the Job: \xe2\x80\x93 We are seeking a skilled AS400 Technical resource to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform using COBOL and RPG programming languages. This role requires a strong understanding of AS400 architecture, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members and business stakeholders.

Educational Background \xe2\x80\x93 bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities \xe2\x80\x93

• Application Development:

Design, code, test, and debug applications using COBOL and RPGLE on the AS400 platform. Develop new features and enhancements based on business requirements. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Maintenance and Support:

Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Optimize application performance and ensure system reliability.

• System Integration:

Integrate AS400 applications with other systems and databases. Develop and maintain APIs and other integration points.

• Documentation:

Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems. Document system processes and workflows.

• Collaboration:

Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to gather and interpret requirements. Participate in project planning, status meetings, and code deployment processes.

• Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality and performance. Assist in the development of test plans and test cases.
