We are Editage Digital Media Solutions, the strategic communication and amplification brand of Cactus Communications (www.cactusglobal.com) , conceived to provide author-centric bespoke services to enhance research impact throughout and beyond the project life cycles. We use nuanced understanding of digital communication to aid government agencies, publishers, journals, and academic societies with the repurposing and marketing of traditionally published scientific content to both niche and lay audiences.



We seek a talented Graphic Designer with a strong background in creating high-quality visual content for scientific infographics, videos, and journal covers. The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in Adobe Design Suite, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with content experts to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts.


Job responsibilities:
• Provide compelling visual solutions as scientific graphic designer and illustrator.
• Collaborate with the scientific content team and video team to deliver high-quality graphics needed for high-quality scientific infographics, videos, and journal cover designs etc.
• Collaborate with content experts to brainstorm new ideas to represent scientific concepts.
• Create scientific infographics and graphics for science explainer videos based on storyboard.
• Reviewing your peers and freelancers' outputs ensuring it meets the client expectations.
• Create scientific, technical, or medical illustrations needed for video.
• Create exciting social media collaterals for audiences such as medical professionals, researchers and authors.


Qualifications and prerequisites:
• Graduate degree (in any field). Having a scientific background is an added advantage.
• 5-6 years of experience in graphic designing, communicating science.
• Basic scientific knowledge and aptitude towards science communication.
• Someone who is excited to create designs on scientific and research based concepts on medical and science and marketing collaterals.
• Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstract.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop). Creating designs in PowerPoint is an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively with scientific content experts.
• Ability to work independently to deliver as per project requirements.
• Good written/verbal English-language skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to meet extremely tight deadlines and multi-task.
• Ability to review your peers and freelancers' output.
