Job Description


Position Title: Contract & Billing Engineer: The Contract & Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring accurate billing, and overseeing financial aspects of construction projects within the real estate sector. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure compliance with contract terms and timely payments. The Contract & Billing Engineer will also handle variations, claims, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.Responsibilities:Contract Management:

  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts for construction projects.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by all parties involved.
  • Handle contract amendments, variations, and claims in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
Billing and Payment:
  • Prepare and submit accurate billing statements based on project milestones and completed work.
  • Verify and process contractor and supplier invoices for payment.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments from clients and manage accounts receivable.
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all contracts, billing statements, and financial transactions.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow projections, budget variance analysis, and project cost reports.
  • Ensure all documentation is compliant with regulatory and company standards.
Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking of project progress.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss financial and contractual matters.
  • Assist in resolving any disputes or issues related to contracts or billing.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks related to contracts and billing, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct regular audits of contract and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in contract management, billing, and financial oversight in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, billing procedures, and project management principles.
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of contract law and construction regulations.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
