• Preparing food : Washing, peeling, and chopping fruits and vegetables, seasoning meat, and preparing sauces and salads
• Maintaining kitchen equipment : Monitoring equipment, reporting issues, and ensuring it's in working order
• Managing inventory : Taking inventory, requesting resupply, and disposing of spoiled food
• Cleaning : Keeping work areas clean, organized, and sanitized
• Following recipes : Following recipe instructions and working according to menu specifications
• Preparing meals : Preparing meals to be presentable and served at the correct temperature and taste
• Communicating : Communicating with other cooks, wait staff, and supervisors
