Food and Beverage Preparation
Job Summary:
The Pantry Chef will oversee the preparation of a wide variety of pantry, cold, and hot items, including pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, rolled ice creams, and hot and cold beverages. With a focus on quality and efficiency, this role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of five years of experience in quick-service foods, beverage preparation, and pantry items, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare a range of pantry items such as salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and burgers, along with cold and hot beverages like milkshakes, smoothies, coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
• Create rolled ice creams and other cold desserts, ensuring visual appeal, freshness, and adherence to quality standards.
• Follow and perfect established recipes for consistency while also customizing orders based on guest preferences.
Station Management and Organization
• Set up and maintain a well-organized pantry and beverage station, ensuring all ingredients and tools are readily available.
• Monitor inventory of pantry items, pizza and burger ingredients, beverages, and ice cream supplies, reporting restocking needs to the Head Chef.
• Ensure accurate portioning and high standards of ingredient preparation, keeping the work area clean and efficient.
Quality Control and Food Safety
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness at pantry and beverage stations, following all food safety regulations.
• Routinely check the quality and freshness of ingredients, discarding expired or unsuitable items.
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
Collaborative Kitchen Support
• Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to fulfill orders efficiently, coordinating efforts for smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with prep work for other kitchen stations as required, contributing to overall team productivity and quality service.
Menu Development and Guest Interaction
• Collaborate in creating new recipes for pantry items, beverages, and desserts, providing input on flavors, presentation, and seasonal offerings.
• Engage with guests when needed, accommodating special requests and dietary preferences, in alignment with Vimala Regency's high standards.
Qualifications:
• Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, specializing in pantry items, quick-service foods, beverages, and desserts.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and a guest-focused approach.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
