Job Overview
We are a Marketing Tech company looking for an exceptional Direct Marketing Content Writer to join our growing team. The CW will report to the Lead Writer and work across various departments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Build the text within our client-facing email and product assets
• Work with email managers, fellow writers, coders, editors, and designers to execute our clients' advertising vision
• Write and edit copy based on feedback from supervisors and clients
• Proactively help to develop and update internal "best practices" to improve campaign effectiveness and efficiency further
• Maintain flexibility to take on other responsibilities that may vary day to day, depending on the team and company needs
• Participate in weekly meetings with the internal content team to understand content pipeline opportunities/issues and facilitate the ongoing creation of new custom content development
• Participate in weekly results analysis meetings to help provide continued evaluation and enhancement of custom content via ongoing, rigorous testing and refinement.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Knowledge and Skills Required • Experienced and creative writer who can interpret data trends, problem-solve, and successfully express the intended messages of our brands and products.
• The ideal candidate will be able to use their marketing, advertising, and communication skills to speak to consumers by developing the company's voice and presence through eye-catching email advertisements.
• They must be particularly attentive to detail, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and word choice.
Experience • Experience should be 2-3 years in Content writing
• Subject-matter experience/expertise in the Mortgage, Insurance, Loan, Credit, Financial Services, Retail or similar industries
• Experience with any of the following a plus: •JIRA, Tableau, Google Analytics, Basecamp •
• Experience interpreting marketing analysis and optimizing content to speak to core consumer audiences/behaviors
• Experience working cross-functionally and cross-departmentally on projects to drive consensus and team collaboration
Education • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or similar field that provides the writing instruction needed to meet job demands
• Proficiency in Google Drive software (Sheets, Documents, Slides)
• Basic knowledge of Excel filters, and pivot tables is a plus
Working Hours • The working hours are 9.30 am-6.30 pm, Mon-Fri, however since our counterparts are in the United States and we have to collaborate with them, we want the candidate to be flexible to take calls at night as well.
