All for the benefit of every patient.About the RoleAs Senior Content Strategist, you\'ll research healthcare markets, cultivating relationships with experts. Working with key leaders to build and refine healthcare content portfolios for Elsevier. Ensuring comprehensive coverage from education to practice for future healthcare professionals. You\'ll prepare a detailed annual strategic plan, researching new and emerging content needs. Developing big-picture product overviews with detailed specific coverage and features. Executing on the logistics necessary to bring new ideas from concept to market. Working closely with Content Development, Digital Media, Digital Content, and Global Production to achieve strategic objectives on time and on budget,ResponsibilitiesDevelop Clinical Science products and programs including print, electronic and multimedia products that are aligned with overall Elsevier India strategy and serves the unmet needs of market.Develop local, reusable and exportable content that is an integral part of our end-users work and study lives.Drive growth in the local HS publishing revenues via expansion of the local publishing program in the designated area and increased focus on e-learning.Continuously look for opportunities to expand and optimize the clinical solutions portfolio in line with evolving market needsProvide updates to content strategy as required.Publish/Develop new editions/Updates of productsAchieve annual objectives in respect to number of titles/content pieces signed and frontlist/product targets.Develop new project ideas and revision cycles for existing projectsUndertake market research to ascertain market acceptability of the projects/products prior to preparation and presentation of a publishing proposal/Business case.Ensure all proposal criteria are addressed and the presented projects are commercially viable through appropriate research and preparation.Present publishing proposals/business case to all stakeholders for necessary discussion and approval.Undertake contractual negotiations with author prospects and issue final contracts after appropriate approvals from senior management.Report to Publishing Committee/ other stakeholders regarding manuscript progress and changes to schedules.Liaise with Content Strategists in other Elsevier offices regarding adaptations to ensure open channels of communication are maintained.Ensure that the terms of adaptation agreements are fulfilled.Ensure that proposed publishing/ adaptation specifications meet market needs and publishing requirements.Works with Project Managers to ensure effective handover of manuscripts to Operations teamBuild a high level of market knowledge.Develop strong product knowledge including that of competitors.Continually monitor market and competitor trends and activities.Establish a network of contacts, identify potential authors from current and emerging opinion leaders, educators and cliniciansManage the yearly commissioning and publishing targets and ensure these areas are well aligned with the growth plans for the organizationWork closely with the other Content Strategists where applicable to ensure team targets are addressed.Present new product information at sales conferences.Contribute to formation of marketing plans.Undertake regular field calling with Territory Managers and independentlyWork closely with sales colleagues to train the sales colleagues on selling propositions of upcoming titlesRequirementsHave an Accredited Education in Communications, English, or related field. Coupled with experience in Publishing. (Understands the publishing process.)Be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and able to learn new systems and software quickly.Able to prioritize multiple projects in various stages of completion, with excellent organizational skills.Display ability to Initiate proactive measures to drive project success and foster team collaboration.Have superb written and oral communication skills.Think strategically, have a big-picture focus with ability to dig into details as needed.Be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and within a team.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
