The Team

Deloitte\'s Operations Transformation services help clients to reimagine and reconfigure the inner workings of their organization, enabling them to deliver on their corporate strategy, identify and capture new growth opportunities, and to surpass their business objectives.

Work you\'ll do

The professional will work in Deloitte India Consulting. The primary role of the professional will be to manage various aspects of engagement execution including project team, deliverables quality, engagement timelines and client relationship. The professional will be expected to play a significant role in Business Development activities including identifying new opportunities, conducting research & data analysis to customize the pitch to client requirements, preparing pitch documents and client presentation. The professional will need to develop a knowledge of the firm\'s Consulting business, strategic priorities to enable sharing of insights, trends and escalation of issues/variances as appropriate.

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Director. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and shaping our organization\'s efforts in agriculture competitiveness and government reforms. As a Director, you will be responsible for guiding our strategic initiatives, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful projects to enhance agriculture and allied sectors. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in identifying new business prospects and strengthening our organizational capabilities.

Additionally, the role will require the professional to collaborate with practitioners from other workstreams, contribute in Thought Leaderships, provide coaching to subordinates and support internal firm projects.

Core responsibilities * Business Expansion & Innovation:

  • Identify new ideas and concepts for business development.
  • Engage with donor agencies and government entities to explore potential interventions and outcomes.
  • Thought Leadership:
  • Contribute to emerging business domains in agriculture and allied sectors.
  • Share expertise and foster collaboration for enhanced operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Navigate collaborations with business owners and client.
  • Lead initiatives for project expansion and to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Lead Reforms Initiatives:
  • Provide support for policy formulation and implementation in agriculture sector
  • Lead institutional capacity initiatives
  • Team Development:
  • Nurture team growth through strategic hiring, mentoring, and hands-on support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence within the organization.
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Report to the Partner and handle responsibilities related to team management, client handling and internal firm initiatives.

Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Agriculture Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Approximately 15 years of experience in agriculture and allied sectors.
  • Proven track record of overseeing complex projects and achieving high-quality results.
  • Strong business development and innovation skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Understanding of government reforms and policy formulation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong core consulting skills - i.e. analytical, primary and secondary research, presentation, and financial modelling, including logical structuring and storyboarding, superior knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Accustomed to working in teams, including virtual teams. Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected
  • Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills, and experience communicating to, and working with, virtual teams, and senior leadership
  • Must possess the ability to handle highest level of confidential information.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in innovation, strategy, operations or technology domain
  • Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment with many competing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives
