We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Manager Business: WPB IT - Insurance & AMG Global Career Band: 5 Location (Country / City ): India/Pune In this role, you will: Principal responsibilities Cost and Workforce Management Financial Planning & Analysis Direct Cost Management and Forecasting Headcount planning, forecasting and target Management (perm & non perm) Accruals calculation and submissions to WPB IT COO for monthly creation and releases Management of Boundary Changes, Target Adjustments and Handshakes, working with a variety of other teams Accountable for advising on cost and headcount approvals to ensure adherence to budgets, forecasts, any HC caps and workforce plans Collaborate with Regions/account leads/PMO and facilitate funding arrangements Financial Resource Plan: Accountable for the VSIP and allocated budget by Governed Portfolio for the respective functions they support. Direct Cost: Accountable for managing, tracking, and variance explanation of Direct Cost forecasts, actuals and working budget. Third Party Spend Management - Facilitate TPS / CAP submissions and approvals. Track and maintain MI on 3rd party spend for the function Resource Tracking: Accountable for managing, tracking, and reporting Workforce forecasts and actuals. Interface with COO to ensure Workforce forecast and actuals are within the constraints of the AOP. Business Framework Management: Accountable for maintenance of the Business Framework (HR Node & Cost Centre Structure), as well as resource location, people moves etc. for the relevant sub-function being supported, working with the relevant horizontal function Cost Targets: Accountable for delivering any resource related cost saving targets (e.g. Permanent Headcount Cap) for the function and reporting any variance explains Support the function on various operational elements (as listed below) leveraging on the \'horizontally delivered\' standard services, Billing: Accountable for recoveries and the rates for the sub function. Ensure accurate resource allocations on Clarity. Direct Cost Reconciliations: Accountable for reconciling Direct Cost Budgets with HSBC Integrated Billing System (HIBS)Actuals vs Clarity effort, providing variance explains Accruals Preparation: Accountable for preparing/checking monthly accruals and handing over to WPB IT COO. Recruitment: coordinate raising of Taleo requisitions to support recruitment needs, liaise with recruitment team on follow up actions Governed Portfolio Financials management: Work with Portfolio Financial team to gather explains, forecasts, run rate, issues, relating to the governed portfolios that are Account Managed from within the relevant sub function Other Operational Activities: Drive Governance, Compliance to policy, Business Continuity planning, Track and drive Mandatory Training completions etc. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Key skills Ability to distil complex and varied data into meaningful information good process analysis and problem solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to ensure that information is captured in a timely manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent financial management ability. Understanding of the HSBC Group Operating Model across all Global Businesses. Qualifications / Experience Proven experience (5-8 years) in regional or functional financial budgeting, strategic planning, communication, and people management processes. Previous background of working in a matrix organization structure ability to persuade individuals at different levels. Evidence of delivery in a similar role within a global organization. Strong financial acumen and comfort with numbers Leadership capabilities Aspiring: ambitious to provide the highest standards of delivery and to embed them within the team.
