Our Consultant role provides services for Amdocs and 3rd party applications, also runs programs, applies functional business standard methodologies to transform business processes, crafts and leads change to restructure and transform organizations and achieves business objectives.

What will your job look like?

You will:

• Lead and define tuning database parameters and promote the standardization per product cross customers world wide
• Set business objectives and targets to ensure success. You will answer the call to integrate various functions and business plans within the Amdocs Quality Engineering Americas region.
• Be a focal point to the sales process by demonstrating experience and business insights to help the customer understand the value that Amdocs provides through its consulting and software solutions.
• Provide professional mentorship and coaching to project management and development teams, implementation groups as well as customer architects - internal and external Amdocs customers, including partners without database understanding.
• Build open lines of communication and develop processes and programs, that will encourage a multi-cultural team to achieve unit goals. Drive organizational integrity and assure excellent delivery across all regional engagements by enabling and promoting standard tools and practices used in the organization as well as drive out-of-the-box solutions that include introducing improvements to further build positive efficiency across operations.
• Craft and review test solutions and scenarios, to be implemented and executed in alignment with the scope settled during test planning, demonstrating knowledge and a broad understanding of the business process & requirements.
• Support various project aspects such as schedule, budget, risks, work tasks, etc.
• Lead consulting team, external contractors, Amdocs matrix teams, and/or customer personnel in a matrix manner
• Drive different engagements and develop their experience.

All you need is...

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Data Engineer with hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience with Datawarehouse, SQL query optimization and data integration techniques.
• Hands-on expertise is ETL pipeline design and implementation using tools like Azure Data factory, Apache Airflow, AWS Kinesis Data Streams, GCP Data fusion.
• Proven hands-on experience in utilizing the Databricks platform on Azure, specifically adept in establishing and overseeing delta lakes, proficiently managing Databricks jobs, and adept in external and managed table management utilizing Hive and the Unity Catalog.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages, particularly Python and Spark.
• Hands-on expertise in data integration services on cloud platform e.g. AWS Glue Data Catalog, Glue Job, step function, Data lake, Azure data factory.
• Hands-on experience in any data quality tools e.g. Informatics, IBM Infosphere, Talend.
• Hands-on experience in performance monitoring and tuning for data processing and analytics system using tools such as Apachae Spark UI, SQL profiler, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure monitor, Apache NiFi etc.
• Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and tools such as power BI, Tableau, Quicksight.
• Experience in data modelling and database design using tools e.g. ERWin, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Additional Skillset for Senior Data Engineer:

• Familiarity with Apache Airflow and the creation of Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) within Airflow.
• Knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation.
• An understanding of concepts like DataMesh, DataVirtualization.
