The API Developer works with Subject Matter Experts to develop and maintain API Logic to for data processing routines and analytics.Responsibilities

• Design and develop API\xe2\x80\x99s within a cloud platform and for consumption from mobile, web, and other client consumers
• Work within a multidisciplined, agile development team to collaborate and deliver milestones and most loveable products
• Follow the industry best practices and processes in producing solutions for APIs and AWS Lambda

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent written, documentation and verbal communication skills
• Overall 5+ years of experience in IT
• Experience with Python programming (knowledge on boto3 would be plus)
• Experience with AWS Lambda (AWS API Gateway would be plus)
• Experience with SQL structured/unstructured data sets. Experience with Amazon Redshift & Amazon RDS preferred
• Experience with performance tuning, load testing and analyzing the cloud logs using CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray tools
• Experience with TDD using pytest
• Experience with Git source code control and understanding of branching strategies
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and to work effectively given general guidance and direction
• The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment; the right candidate is willing to take on projects and challenges with the ability to be flexible for change

Education

• Bachelor or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent experience
