General Mills India Center (GIC) operates out of Mumbai and supports the global operations of General Mills. The center was established in 2005 and has grown in strength. Digital and Technology team

Cyber Security Team
Cyber Security is a critical part of Digital and Technology function. We leverage the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, key cybersecurity partners, and external benchmarking to guide the development of our program. Cybersecurity risk is managed as part of enterprise risk at GMI. We assess technical cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities and provide recommendations to mitigate them. We design and manage cybersecurity infrastructure, identities, and controls and we monitor for any threats and ensure timely and comprehensive response to cyber-attacks. We also measure and report compliance to cybersecurity policies and standards.

Job Overview
Role: Consultant

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes and procedures to guarantee the high performance and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and designers, to ensure that our products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, and passion for delivering superior software will drive our success in providing top-notch solutions to the business.

Role Responsibilities
60% of Time Development and Deployment

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to assess software quality and functionality.
• Conduct functional, performance, usability, and regression testing to identify defects and ensure the integrity of software releases.
• Collaborate with the development team to review product requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide valuable input on testability and quality improvements.
• Perform thorough analysis of test results and provide detailed reports to the development team, highlighting issues, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
• Participate actively in the software development life cycle (SDLC) to contribute to the early identification and resolution of quality-related issues.
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality assurance activities.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software quality assurance and incorporate them into our testing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics, monitor software performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as an advocate for quality assurance by promoting a quality mindset and championing quality across the organization.

25% of Time Operational Management and Support

• Responsible for maintenance and support of the SailPoint IIQ platform and other SailPoint technologies, as applicable
• Collaborate with the IAM Lead Engineer/Developer to plan and implement bug fixes, patches, and upgrades
• Initiate continuous improvement opportunities to streamline and automate operational work
• Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure that SailPoint IIQ is meeting end-user requirements and expectations

15%of Time Projects / Consultation

• Support projects that impact all facets of identity access management
• Collaborate with all members of the security team to deliver key priorities
• Initiate/plan out automation processes through multi-department collaboration
• Continuously develop knowledge of evolving identity and automation best practices through self-development and other educational opportunities

Must - have technical skills and experience

• Experience deploying Identity and Cyber Security process automation, in complex and diverse customer environments, with multiple types of application servers and operating systems, preferably including Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Windows, and Linux
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Information Security, Identity Access Management (IAM), and SailPoint technologies (IdentityIQ Connectors, Advanced Processes, Reporting and Infrastructure).
• Proven Identity Access Management experience
• Experience working with multiple IAM related technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, and SaaS applications
• Extensive experience developing in Java and/or BeanShell
• Experience with other supporting technologies such as PowerShell, Microsoft SQL Server, JIRA, Terraform, Github Code Flow Development
• Object Oriented Programming (OOP) methodology and application
• XML and JSON Data Structures and Authentication Standards
• Branch Based Code Management and Logging Frameworks
• Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow ITSM and Workday a plus
• Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to have skills

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is preferred.
• Certifications in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
