The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. For more information, please visit the website .Project Brief:This Position will oversee the \xe2\x80\x9cCapacity Building for Health Systems Design in India\xe2\x80\x9d project. This project focuses on enhancing the capabilities of researchers and policymakers in health systems analysis and reform through comprehensive training and mentorship programs. This Position will lead efforts to strengthen health systems by coordinating training programs, facilitating mentorship sessions, and managing state-level practicum projects. This role requires close collaboration with PHFI and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to achieve project objectives effectively.Deliverables:

  • Lead the administrative organization of training courses, including faculty coordination and communication, schedule meetings, stakeholder management and coordination.
  • Coordinate and facilitate mentorship sessions for core groups of individuals from different Indian institutions.
  • Ensure continuous engagement of the cohort through training and practicum experiences.
  • Oversee the logistical side of state-level practicum projects.
  • Support the technical work of PHFI in health systems (Academics and short-term trainings).
  • Develop and implement a work plan for recruiting participants, selecting mentees, and providing continuous engagement for the cohort.
  • Prepare and submit reports on training sessions and progress of practicum projects.
  • Liaise with the staff at PHFI (Research & implementation teams), and with course faculty.
  • Work with internal teams, and with colleagues in various verticals.
  • Documentation of project activities and preparation of donor reports, technical reports, policy briefs etc.
  • Ensure institutionalization of tasks through regular data documentation and management (Frequency: Weekly)
  • Prepare donor reports, spending details, and comparative analysis (Frequency: Monthly)
  • Travel as required.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor/PI.
Qualification:Essential:
  • Master\'s in Public Health, Epidemiology, Public Health Systems or related discipline
Desirable:
  • Certification in Project Management or Heath Economics
Experience:Essential:
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in research, project management or related fields.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in related health systems support roles
