• Work Scheduling : Create and maintain work schedules for tasks and monitor timelines to avoid delays.
2. Safety and Compliance
• Enforce Safety Standards : Implement and monitor compliance with safety regulations (OSHA or local standards) to ensure the safety of workers.
• Conduct Safety Inspections : Regularly inspect the site for potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure Compliance : Ensure that the project complies with local construction codes, regulations, and health and safety laws.
3. Quality Control
• Inspect Work Quality : Oversee the quality of work on-site to ensure it meets the project's design and specifications.
• Problem-Solving : Address and resolve any issues related to quality, performance, or construction materials.
4. Material and Equipment Management
• Monitor Material Deliveries : Ensure that materials are delivered on time and stored safely on-site.
• Inventory Control : Track and manage construction materials and equipment, ensuring that everything is available and in good condition.
• Coordinate with Vendors : Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and tools needed for construction.
5. Communication and Coordination
• Liaise with Stakeholders : Act as the point of contact between the project manager, subcontractors, and clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
• Team Coordination : Coordinate the efforts of various teams, ensuring that tasks are completed in sync and that workers are aware of daily priorities.
6. Reporting and Documentation
• Report Progress : Maintain and submit daily or weekly progress reports to the project manager or senior leadership.
• Document Issues and Delays : Track any incidents or delays and provide reports that detail the impact on the timeline or budget.
• Update Project Files : Maintain accurate records of work completed, safety inspections, and material usage.
7. Budget and Cost Control
• Monitor Costs : Ensure that the project remains within the allocated budget by managing labor costs, material usage, and equipment.
• Handle Procurement : Oversee the procurement process for additional materials or labor required to keep the project on track.
8. Conflict Resolution
• Resolve Disputes : Address any conflicts that arise between workers, subcontractors, or other parties involved in the project.
• Facilitate Problem Solving : Work with team members to solve issues related to project delays, misunderstandings, or resource constraints.
9. Final Inspections and Project Completion
• Inspect Completed Work : Ensure the project is finished according to specifications, schedule, and budget before handover.
