Construction Engineers in various disciplines: - CSA Construction Engineer - Fire Protection/Utilities Construction Engineer - Mechanical Construction Engineer - E&I Construction Engineer - HVAC Construction Engineer The purpose of this position is to provide the essential administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor\'s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position supports the construction efforts by providing technical support to craft and supervision as well as helping to satisfy quality requirements on the project. Initiate action when necessary to ensure the project is being built as specified in the scope of work. - Provide construction engineering and technical support for one or more construction engineering specialist disciplines within an area on large stand-alone projects. - Provide construction engineering and technical support to all construction engineering efforts for a specific discipline on small to medium projects. - Assist craftsmen, supervisors, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings - Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of construction managers, superintendents, and contractors and provides specific expertise for problem solving activities - Coordinate the completion of construction activities in assigned systems and prepares punch lists to ensure the readiness of systems for release for turnover to the client or for startup - Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines - Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities provide analysis and forecasts - Develop and review specifications, including design criteria - Review and approve vendor lists, prepare quotation requests/bid tabulations/purchase orders and review substitutions for technical acceptability - Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems - Other duties as assigned Basic Job Requirements Basic Job requirements: - Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements - Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required - Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors - Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines - Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials - Technical knowledge in design, sizing, and selection of required systems - Ability to speak/read in both English and Danish. - (Construction) Engineering degree
