ABOUT THIS JOBAt NIQ, A Consolidations Manager you will utilize their expertise in accounting and finance to build out reporting for executive team members and provide clarity to financials. In this role, you will take lead a staff of assigned areas for internal and external reporting and be involved in developing recommendations for policy, controls, and actions.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize your expertise in accounting and finance to build out consolidation reporting for executive team members and provide clarity to financials
  • Take ownership of assigned areas for external and internal reporting and be involved in developing recommendations for policy, controls, and actions
  • Manage team in reviewing and entering journal entries and maintaining documented analysis and support
  • Lead team in monthly consolidation close processes to ensure information is provided to accounting and finance on a timely manner. Also, ensure that they submitted country level packs by deadline.
  • Responsible for various global tie out and roll forward packages
  • Work with Intercompany owners to resolve out of balance accounts and ensure no balances are included in P&L
  • Submit the consolidated financials after all eliminations and checks to the Corporate on time
  • Prepare quarterly and annual analytics for key financial statements, detailing year-over-year changes
  • Coordinate with Tax team on allocations, forecasts, HFM financial base data, and tax projects with the ability to understand how those projects translate into financial transactions
  • Collaborate with finance teams on cash flow reporting, investments, and intercompany and ad hoc requests
  • Review and approve (HFM or EPM) maintenance changes from a consolidations perspective
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUA successful Consolidations Manager will achieve a balanced coordination and seamless execution of global process and financial accounting related activities for his/her markets. S/he will have delivered on all process governance and controllership metrics. S/he will have met or exceeded expectations on all metrics and ensured solid controls are in place and functioning.QualificationsMust have
  • Bachelor's or masters degree in Accounting/CA or ICWA Inter/CA or ICWA
  • 4 - 8 years of experience gained in working at various accounting functions such as consolidation, intercompany, and general accounting of a multinational company
  • Experience with ERP and EPM systems (SAP, HFM, or Onestream is a plus)
  • Experienced in investment and equity accounting, intercompany loan and settlement transactions, and related currency translation impacts.
  • Experienced in performing variance analyses of consolidated financials statements and how they interact with each other.
  • Possess an inquisitive and analytical mind; continuously questioning the status quo and working to improve existing processes.
  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, team-oriented individual with the ability to partner with others to achieve assigned projects. Must be able to handle working on different projects with different people at the same time.
Preferred
  • Prior intracompany, consolidations, or general accounting experience
  • An expertise in USGAAP and IFRS external reporting. Working knowledge of accounting concepts under U.S. GAAP and preferably with IFRS/Local GAAP and SOX compliance
