Job Description

We are looking for a lead engineer for our Computer Vision and ML team!

Start: by arrangement / immediately

Location: Hyderabad

At Livello, we are testing and building different computer vision models, such as computer vision-based multi-camera people and product recognition solutions similar to Amazon Go. We track the replenished/removed products based on people movement tracking in the room, pose detection, and individual shelf sensor tracking using sensor fusion. We also identify misplaced products and alert / guide users in their shopping experience. Our solutions are being developed on the basis of Tensorflow, OpenCV, and Python.

Tasks

• Build and lead a team of engineers to develop cutting-edge technologies in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence to build the future of "unattended autonomous retail" solutions
• Define and manage project scopes, timelines, and deliverables to ensure the successful completion of projects.
• Design and implement computer vision and machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV, with focus on product (primarily food) and people recognition (position, pose, movement, age, gender, DSGVO compliant)
• Evaluate and experiment with new technologies, tools, and algorithms to improve the performance and accuracy of computer vision models.
• Documentation, verification, and testing of the created software, as well as software integration
• Mentor and guide team members to enhance their technical skills and achieve career goals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in computer vision and machine learning research.

Requirements

• Studies in the field of computer science / data science as well as first professional experience in those fields
• At least 5 years of real-world experience in computer vision and machine learning engineering
• Demonstrated experience in building smart store technologies similar to Amazon Go
• Expert in Python, OpenCV and Tensorflow (optional: Docker)
• Expert in image processing, algorithms and neural networks
• Cooperative and independent work, analytical mindset, and willingness to take responsibility
• Strong leadership and fluent communication skills in English, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
