Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize Scratch programming language to develop interactive educational content and activities for children and community members.
• Responsible for planning and organizing student batches to ensure effective and efficient use of instructional time & learning experiences.
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to children and community members.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and participation on a day-to-day basis.
• Assign and assess student tasks to evaluate their understanding and progress.
• Develop curriculum materials and exercises to support effective learning outcomes.
• Create and manage a YouTube channel for recording and archiving code education sessions for easy access and review.
• Support & assist the project coordinator in organization of project events.
• Keep thorough documentation, including student progress reports, feedback records, and administrative paperwork.
• Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities as directed by management to support the overall project.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in Scratch programming and familiarity with other coding platforms such as Code.org, Tynker, and Scratchjr.
• Proficiency In Telugu and English, including reading, writing, and speaking, to effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and community members.
• Passion for education and a commitment to promoting access to quality education for all children, especially those from marginalized communities.
• Ability to engage with children and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and style.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationship with students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational slots and attention to detail, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Education, Social work, Computer Science or a related field from a recognized University.
Experience:
Previous working experience in educational settings, preferably in rural or underserved communities will be an advantage.
