Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified individual to join our team as a Part-Time Computer Science Lecturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science and will be responsible for teaching undergraduate or graduate-level courses, assisting with curriculum development, and providing academic support to students in a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures, seminars, and lab sessions in computer science courses.

Develop and update course content, materials, and assessments.

Provide clear instructions and explanations for complex computer science topics.

Conduct office hours to provide individual academic support to students.

Evaluate and grade student work, including assignments, quizzes, and exams.

Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Assist students with research projects, capstone projects, or other academic endeavors.

Curriculum Development:

Collaborate with full-time faculty to review and enhance course curricula.

Ensure that courses are up-to-date with current industry trends and technologies.

Student Support:

Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to help them succeed academically.

Encourage student participation in extracurricular academic activities like hackathons or research initiatives.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Attend department meetings, workshops, and other academic events as required.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or a closely related field (PhD preferred).

Proven experience in teaching computer science or related subjects at the college/university level.

Strong understanding of key computer science topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, computer networks, and software engineering.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and understandable manner.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From ?15,000.00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
