Job Description

1. Teaching:

Prepare and deliver lectures on computer science topics (e.g., algorithms, programming languages, data structures, databases, software engineering, artificial intelligence).

Design, develop, and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and exams.

Conduct practical laboratory sessions, where students apply theoretical knowledge through coding exercises or simulations.

Provide guidance and feedback on assignments, projects, and exams.

Engage students in discussions, fostering an interactive learning environment.

2. Research:

Conduct research in computer science, contributing to advancements in the field.

Publish research papers in reputable journals and present findings at conferences.

Supervise and mentor students on research projects, theses, or dissertations.

Collaborate with other faculty members or industry partners on research initiatives.

3. Student Support:

Advise and mentor students on academic and career-related matters.

Assist students in understanding complex concepts and solving problems.

Provide extra support to students needing additional help through office hours, tutoring sessions, or one-on-one consultations.

4. Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development and revision of the computer science curriculum.

Integrate new technologies, tools, or methodologies into the curriculum.

Ensure the curriculum is aligned with industry standards and emerging trends in the field.

5. Administrative Duties:

Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic assessments.

Attend university or faculty events and contribute to the academic community.

Grade and evaluate students' work fairly and consistently.

Maintain records of student progress and performance.

6. Professional Development:

Stay up to date with the latest developments in computer science, including new research, technologies, and teaching methodologies.

Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to improve teaching skills and enhance professional knowledge.

Pay: Up to ?25,000.00 per month
