Position Overview:

As a faculty member specializing in Computer Science, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to our students. Your expertise in Computer Science will contribute to the academic excellence and professional development of aspiring the marine professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Course Delivery:

Deliver lectures on computer science topics such as programming, algorithms, data structures, and cyber security relevant to marine engineering and navigation.

Implement curriculum tailored to the needs of marine students, integrating marine-specific applications of computer science.

Conduct practical lab sessions to enhance students' hands-on skills with computing tools and technologies.

Ensure that course content is up to date, aligned with curriculum standards, and meets the learning objectives.

Student Engagement:

Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their academic and personal growth.

3. Assessment and Evaluation:

Evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and practical assessments.

Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to facilitate their learning progress.

4. Curriculum Development:

Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Computer Science curriculum, incorporating best practices and innovative teaching methodologies.

Integrate real-world applications of Mathematics into the curriculum to enhance students' understanding and relevance.

Professional Development:

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in computer science and teaching pedagogies.

Participate in professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Engage in continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at an Engineering college, must have undergone B.Ed./M.Ed. or VICT/TOTA (Vertical Integrated Course for Trainers) certification or in a Marine college with FIN (Faculty Identification Number).

Strong knowledge and expertise in Computer Science, particularly in areas relevant to marine engineering and navigation.

Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty from other disciplines.
