Computer Operator
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor computer systems, ensuring they run smoothly and without errors.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
• Operate multiple computer systems or workstations simultaneously, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently.
• Schedule and run jobs (e.g., software programs, data backups, and system updates) according to predefined schedules.
• Ensure that batch jobs and other automated tasks are executed as required.
• Perform data entry, maintain logs, and monitor system storage.
• Backup data and perform periodic system checks to ensure data integrity.
• Assist with data retrieval and report generation as needed by other departments.
• Generate and distribute system performance reports to supervisors or relevant departments.
• Help compile reports for audits or compliance purposes.
