Computer CCTV Network Technician

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Computer CCTV Network Technician to join our team in Ernakulam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, networking, and related technologies. Candidates must have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a good understanding of computer and CCTV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• CCTV Installation : Install, configure, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, DVRs, and other related hardware.
• Network Setup and Maintenance : Set up and configure network connections for CCTV systems, ensuring smooth communication between cameras, DVRs, and remote monitoring stations.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs : Identify and resolve issues with CCTV cameras, network connections, and related devices. Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
• System Upgrades : Assist in upgrading CCTV systems and network infrastructure to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and security standards.
• Client Support : Provide on-site support for clients, helping them with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting issues. Offer technical assistance as needed.
• Testing and Quality Assurance : Conduct tests to ensure all CCTV cameras and network systems are functioning correctly, ensuring high quality and performance standards.
• Documentation : Maintain proper records of system installations, repairs, and service requests. Document technical specifications and system configurations.
• Training and Guidance : Provide training to clients on how to use CCTV systems and troubleshooting basic issues.

Key Requirements:

• Education : IT-related certification or degree (preferably in computer science, electronics, or a related field).
• Experience : Previous experience in CCTV installation, network setup, and maintenance is preferred.
• Skills :
• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, networking, and computer systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues related to CCTV systems.
• Familiarity with DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, and CCTV software.
• Knowledge of IP networking and related technologies.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and understand their technical needs.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations and networking tools.
• Licenses and Vehicle : A valid two-wheeler driving license and a two-wheeler are mandatory for this role.
