Work closely with engineering teams to fabricate composite components for drone airframes, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Operate and maintain various composite manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to, autoclaves, vacuum bagging systems, and composite curing ovens.
  • Prepare composite materials, such as pre-preg carbon fiber, fiberglass, and epoxy resins, for layup and bonding processes.
  • Perform layup of composite materials onto molds, ensuring proper orientation, ply sequence, and resin distribution.
  • Conduct trimming, drilling, sanding, painting and finishing operations on composite parts to achieve final dimensions and surface quality.
  • Assist in the development and optimization of composite manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product performance.
  • Conduct quality inspections on fabricated composite components using various measurement tools and techniques, such as calipers, micrometers,
  • Document work activities, process parameters, and inspection results in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Qualifications
  • ITI/Diploma, Mechanical or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in composite manufacturing process engineering
Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge on the composites, vacuum bagging, layup sequence and aero structure grade raw materials
  • Knowledge of the fabrics, fibers of carbon, glass, Kevlar etc. and their properties and use.
  • Knowledge on the detailed painting process: Buffing, surface preparation, pore filling, primers, paints, and other coat used in aviation and in UAVs
  • Plastic bonding. composite to composite, composite to metal, plastics to composites Basics knowledge on, excel, ppt is desired but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements related to composite manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality standards would be a plus
