Job Description

JD For Compliance officer:

Job Purpose: The Compliance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the NBFC adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies. They are responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance program, conducting audits, providing guidance and training to staff, and maintaining documentation of compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance Program Development:
• Develop and implement an effective compliance program that includes policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the NBFC's operations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
• Audits and Reviews:
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal audit teams and external auditors during audits and examinations.
• Training and Guidance:
• Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance matters, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of compliance within the organization through communication and training initiatives.
• Investigation and Response:
• Investigate compliance issues, complaints, and violations reported internally or externally.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified compliance deficiencies.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Maintain documentation of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, audit reports, and training records.
• Regulatory Liaison:
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders during regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments affecting NBFC operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (Advanced degree preferred). 6 years of experience in compliance roles within the financial sector, preferably in an NBFC environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to NBFCs, including but not limited to RBI regulations.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and their implications. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
