Compliance Officer, Supply Chain - GCC, India

This job is responsible for assisting the Head of Compliance, ANZ with ongoing support and guidance to the business on the supply chain compliance for Australia and New Zealand. The Supply Chain Compliance role is focused on servicing the upgrade, buy-back and trade-in service of mobile devices offered by Assurant Solutions. The role will assist in the full implementation of the compliance risk management process that ensures all current and future suppliers reach, maintain and evidence compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and Assurant's Supplier Code of Conduct. This role will assist with various regulatory and compliance activities and projects as directed by the Head of Compliance, ANZ.


This position will be Remote at our India location.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Assist with the development, implementation, and communication of the ANZ's Supply Chain compliance program and process that ensures all current and future suppliers reach, maintain and evidence compliance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards and Assurant's Supplier Code of Conduct.
• Perform due diligence on vendors, buyers & aggregators and other third parties connected with the ANZ business.
• Assist with oversight on vendors, buyers & aggregators and other third parties connected with the ANZ business.
• Assist in the preparation of Compliance Committee papers and other Executive reporting as required.
• Provide assistance to business stakeholders as required in relation to supply chain and trade compliance matters.
• Perform compliance and regulatory activities and projects as directed by the Head of Compliance.
• Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory development and assist with regulatory insights development and/or participate in working groups in collaboration with business stakeholders to assess and implement remedial actions.
Document management, storage and filing duties as required.


What are the requirements needed for this position?

Qualifications:

• Relevant undergraduate degree

Previous Experience:

• Minimum of 3 Years' experience in a risk, compliance and/or legal role preferably within a financial services organization.

Knowledge:

• Competence in understanding complex business documentation and regulations.
• Knowledge of trade legislation pertaining to the movement of devices would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of labor, health & safety and environmental risks, regulations and related management systems regulations and obligations would be an advantage.
• Working knowledge of supply chain compliance / sustainability requirements would be an advantage.
• Experience within the telecommunications sector (desirable, not essential)
• Proven broad experience within Compliance and Supply Chain

Skills:

• Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• High standard of time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with demanding deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong research skills
• Strong professional written and communication skills
Ability to use initiative to investigate and solve problems.
