Job Description


The Opportunity: Works independently under close supervision, research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of salary. Assess jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range. Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position. Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; use spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.MAJOR JOB DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES (KPIs)

  • Pulls compensation market data from different sources, performs various analyses on data and provides recommendations based on data insights (eg. internal equity analysis for assigned groups, salary ranges reviews, etc)
  • Is responsible for data quality within HRIS system, puts controls in place and performs data audits on regular basis
  • Compiles reports on different compensation topics, providing meaningful data insights and change recommendations
  • Actively participates in different compensation initiatives and projects on local and regional (EU) level
  • Communicates and interprets compensation & benefits policies and procedures to establish a uniform understanding and application across the organization
  • Ensures compliance of Avantors compensation & benefits practices with the local regulations and statutory requirements across Europe
  • Assists with ongoing maintenance of various compensation programs including updates in our global HRIS system, survey participation, periodic data audit etc.
  • Provide 1st line support for HRBPs concerning compensation requests in Europe
  • Provide the administration & communication support of cyclical comp activities
  • Provide testing support
  • Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/training, experience, and certifications)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of compensation or related experience required, with strong experience in data analysis
  • Workday experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
  • Excellent analytical & organizational skills
  • Expert on (Excel) spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess data trends & results
  • Strong knowledge of multiple EU countries Compensation & benefits landscape & practices, experience with labor law a plus
  • Strong written and oral communication and interaction skills are required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently and proactively
  • Cultural astuteness, integrity and sound judgement, ability to understand and deliver technical information that is adapted to audience needs.
