Together, were reimagining learning for every child in India.What We Need From YouThe Community Teacher Leader (CTL) at Maati Paathshala will be responsible for implementing LIFI's educational programs for out-of-school children, particularly those in marginalised communities such as brick kilns and rural areas. The YL will play a key role in ensuring these children are supported and equipped with the education they need, working closely with families, schools, and local communities.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesProgram Implementation & SupportTeach 3-4 hours at Maati Paathshala (brick kiln site), providing tailored educational support to children at risk of dropping out or those outside the school system.Conduct one library session per grade every week as part of the Library Program at Maati Paathshala.Ensure all children receive educational support, tracking progress and maintaining engagement.Implement and strengthen education programs in alignment with LIFI's goals and objectives, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for children.Provide direct academic support, teaching core subjects to children who are outside the formal school system.Track students' daily attendance and maintain accurate records.Community Engagement & OutreachEngage in daily community mobilization activities, including home visits and community events, and visit to schools to ensure regularity of children in schools and build school relationshipsBuild strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, local leaders, school teachers, and education department officials.Organize and facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), surveys, and other community outreach programs.Work closely with parents and other local leaders to ensure the community's support for the children's education.Take proactive steps to enroll children in government schools or open schools and facilitate the creation of necessary certificates for school enrollment.Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate data on student enrollment, progress, and attendance.Organize and enter data for baseline, midterm, and final assessments.Track student learning outcomes and ensure timely reporting to LIFI's Community LeaderTravel & Field VisitsTravel to source villages (across various states in India) periodically to track and support students' enrollment and progressMap the children to schools both in source villages and at brick-kilnsCore Competencies and ValuesCommitment to Children and Youth faced by out-of-school children, particularly those in migrant or rural communities.Migrants Context: Knowledge of the unique educational needs and challenges faced by migrant children and their families.Preferred QualificationsMinimum qualification: 12th grade or IntermediateAlternatively, 10th grade pass with at least 2 years of teaching experienceWhat Success Looks LikeEmpowered Children:
