Job Description

As a Community Mobilizer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, reaching out to, and mobilizing Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in your assigned territory. You will work closely with community leaders, government officials, and other stakeholders to create awareness about the opportunities and services offered by Samarthanam Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Community Outreach:

• Conduct regular community visits to identify potential beneficiaries.

• Build relationships with community leaders, self-help groups, and other relevant organizations.

• Organize awareness campaigns and workshops to educate the community about disability rights and inclusion.

• Identify and engage with government schemes and initiatives that support PwDs.

• Candidate Mobilization:

• Mobilize a minimum of 10+2 PwD candidates for skill development and placement programs.

• Conduct initial assessments to identify the candidates' skills, interests, and aspirations.

• Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the mobilization process.

• Enrollment and Documentation:

• Complete the necessary enrollment forms and documentation for each candidate.

• Ensure that all required documents are accurate and complete.

• Maintain accurate records of all activities and interactions.

• Follow-up and Support:

• Provide ongoing support to mobilized candidates, including addressing any challenges or concerns.

• Monitor the progress of candidates in training programs and placements.

• Facilitate linkages with employers and other relevant organizations.

• Data Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, including field visits, meetings, and candidate information.

• Submit regular reports on your activities and achievements.

• Utilize digital tools and software to track and analyze data.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Disability Studies, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community mobilization or social work.

• Strong understanding of disability issues and challenges faced by PwDs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in local languages.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

• Passion for social justice and empowering marginalized communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with PwDs.

• Knowledge of government schemes and initiatives for PwDs.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?16,000.00 per month
