Length: 2 \xe2\x80\x93 6 months About Smile Foundation Sustainability, social equality and the environment are now business problems. And corporate leaders can\xe2\x80\x99t depend on governments to solve them. Inspired by this philosophy of Peter Senge, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities. Today, Smile Foundation is directly benefiting over 1.5 million children and families through more than 400 welfare projects on education, healthcare, livelihood, and women empowerment spread across 2,000 villages and urban slums in 25 states, every year. Job Summary Are you interested in fuelling a global movement to empower children from weak socio-economic backgrounds? This internship is an opportunity to join Smile Foundation, one of the best child education social development organisations in India. Working with the Head Office, New Delhi communications team of Smile Foundation, successful candidates will craft inspiring stories about people overcoming the challenges of education, health, and livelihood. You will work closely with a small communications team to develop content related to Smile Foundation\xe2\x80\x99s mission and vision. This will include stories and blog posts, photo essays, and infographics for the website and fundraising content.

• Strong research, writing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills
• Proficient in research as a tool to promote non-profit organisations
• Multimedia/web experience (photo, HTML, etc.) preferred
• Ability to write in a variety of styles and voices, including beneficiary stories and features
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to succeed in a team-oriented atmosphere

Experience and Skills A self-starting attitude is necessary. Candidates must also show an interest in pursuing a career in the development organisation. Those with or working towards a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mass Communication, English Literature, Economics, and Psychology are preferred, though other qualified candidates will be considered.
