: Communications Executive

Organization: Indian Cancer Society, Bangalore

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Reporting to: Communications consultant, ICS Bangalore

Overview: Indian Cancer Society (ICS) Bangalore is seeking a dynamic and motivated Communications Executive to join our team. The Communications Executive will play a pivotal role in enhancing our outreach efforts, managing social media platforms and any other activities as required.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
• Develop engaging and informative content for social media platforms/any other including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Create compelling blog posts, articles, newsletters, and other content to raise awareness about cancer prevention, treatment options, and patient support services.
• Ensure all content is aligned with ICS's mission and vision.
• Social Media Management:
• Manage and maintain ICS's presence on social media platforms.
• Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
• Implement social media campaigns to drive engagement, increase followers, and promote ICS events and initiatives.
• Collaboration and Teamwork:
• Work closely with other regional offices to integrate communication strategies and support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Previous experience in content creation, social media management, or communications role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; and skills in reading and writing in kannada
• Knowledge of healthcare or nonprofit sector is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in social media analytics tools and content management systems.
