The Hotel School, a premier institute for hotel management education, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Communication Faculty member to enhance our students' communication skills, a critical component of the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching courses related to business communication, interpersonal skills, public relations, and customer service communication, tailored specifically to the needs of hotel and hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teaching :
• Deliver engaging and effective instruction in courses such as Business Communication, Hospitality Communication, Customer Service Communication, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication.
• Design lesson plans that incorporate real-world scenarios relevant to the hotel and hospitality industry.
• Mentor students, focusing on improving their verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills to meet industry standards.
• Conduct practical workshops, role-playing sessions, and case studies to develop students' professional communication competence.
• Curriculum Development :
• Collaborate with the faculty to design a curriculum that reflects the latest communication trends and technologies in the hospitality sector.
• Introduce industry-specific communication modules, including cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution, and guest relations.
• Student Support :
• Offer personalized coaching to students in developing their soft skills, including etiquette, language proficiency, and professional presentation.
• Help students prepare for interviews and internships by offering mock interview sessions and resume writing workshops.
• Industry Integration :
• Engage with professionals in the hospitality industry to provide students with insights into industry-specific communication needs and trends.
• Organize guest lectures, seminars, and industry interactions to offer students exposure to real-world communication challenges in hospitality.
Qualifications:
• Education :
• A Master's degree in Communication, English, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Candidates with a background in both communication and hospitality will be preferred.
• Experience :
• At least 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a hospitality or hotel management institution.
• Practical experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on communication roles such as guest relations, public relations, or customer service, will be an added advantage.
• Skills :
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on hospitality-related communication.
• Ability to connect with students and enhance their professional skills through interactive teaching methods.
• Familiarity with the latest communication technologies and tools used in hospitality management.
