Youre a pastry enthusiast with 1-4 years of kitchen experience, eager to expand your skills in a fast-paced environment. Youll be working closely with the kitchen team at our Bombay Sweet Shop cafes, under the guidance of senior chefs who will mentor you in mastering your pastry craft. Teamwork and collaboration are essential, and youll play a key part in ensuring smooth kitchen operations.WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO
Youll report directly to the Sous Chef or Senior Chef, following their guidance to maintain culinary standards and ensure excellence in every dish.YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FORFood Preparation: Assist in preparing pastry doughs, batters, creams, and fillings to precise specifications.Pastry Plating & Presentation: Support in the creation and decoration of desserts, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet presentation standards.Kitchen Organization: Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and tools.Consistency & Quality: Follow recipes and culinary instructions to consistently produce high-quality pastries and desserts.Learning & Development: Expand your pastry skills by learning new techniques, recipes, and methods.Team Collaboration: Provide support to senior chefs and fellow team members during high-demand periods.Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen to ensure food safety and a safe working environment.Recipe Kits & Prep: Help with preparing daily mise-en-place for the pastry section and assist in assembling recipe kits.Adaptability: Be flexible to support other departments when needed, especially during busy shifts.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
