Job Responsibilities

Prepares and properly garnishes all pantry items, including salads, sandwiches, desserts, specialty plates, and other pantry food orders in accordance with menu specification: \xc2\xa7 Bakes all cookies and muffins and all other special requests. \xc2\xa7 Prepares appetisers, salads, vegetables, desserts for all requested banquets and room service functions. \xc2\xa7 Works out on floor for special events; carving meats for customers, working pasta stations and omelette stations. \xc2\xa7 Prepares all orders in a timely manner. \xc2\xa7 Assists breakfast and lead cooks in preparation of lines and set up for forecasted covers.
Checks all cooler and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food products: \xc2\xa7 Maintains cleanliness and stocking of coolers and storage areas. \xc2\xa7 Requisitions food with necessary approvals according to policy. \xc2\xa7 Takes proper care of ranges, ovens, boilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment.

Adheres to hotel policies and procedures: \xc2\xa7 Attends work on time as scheduled. \xc2\xa7 Follows hotel grooming and hygiene standards. \xc2\xa7 Minimises safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures. \xc2\xa7 Keeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. \xc2\xa7 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. \xc2\xa7 Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate. \xc2\xa7 At all time projects a favourable image of Brand to the public.
Job Requirements

\xc2\xa7 Knowledge of local health and safety regulations \xc2\xa7 Culinary certificate, degree or equivalent experience \xc2\xa7 1 year progressive experience in high-volume kitchen \xc2\xa7 Excellent oral and written communication skills \xc2\xa7 Collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers \xc2\xa7 Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
