Position Title : Commis I - Continental

•Job Summary :•
The Commis I - Continental is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in the Continental cuisine section of the kitchen. The role involves supporting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
•Key Responsibilities :•
Food Preparation and Cooking :
• Prepare and cook dishes from the Continental menu following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure dishes are prepared on time and meet the restaurant's quality standards.
Hygiene and Food Safety :
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
Inventory and Stock Management :
• Assist in monitoring and managing stock levels to ensure availability of ingredients.
• Report low stock levels to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
Collaboration and Teamwork :
• Work closely with the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior team members as needed.
Quality Control :
• Ensure consistency in the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes prepared.
• Suggest improvements to dishes or preparation methods to enhance guest satisfaction.
Adaptability and Flexibility :
• Handle multiple tasks efficiently, especially during busy service hours.
• Assist in other sections of the kitchen when required.
•Requirements :•
Education : Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Continental cuisine.
Skills :
• Strong knowledge of Continental cooking techniques, recipes, and ingredients.
• Attention to detail and a passion for food.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long hours and handle physical demands of a busy kitchen environment.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
