Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Asian House in Puducherry. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. You will collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure a high standard of food quality and presentation. Additionally, you will manage inventory, maintain kitchen hygiene, and adhere to food safety regulations.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Commi II or Commi III
• Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine or South Indian or North Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
• Proficient in preparing a variety of dishes with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Certification in culinary arts or relevant field is a plus
