Job Summary:
As a 1st Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team, supporting the chefs in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You will work closely with the senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
• Support the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place and food presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and adhere to food safety standards.
• Help with inventory management, including checking stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food quality.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.
• Passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
