As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist in the preparation and plating of hot and cold dishes according to recipe specifications and chef's instructions
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support the efficient management of ingredients and kitchen resources
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Perform cleaning and storage tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff
  • Contribute to menu development and recipe improvements when appropriate
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications are a plus, but not required
