Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate Commi III to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is ideal for an individual with 0-6 months or up to 1 year of culinary experience who is eager to learn and grow in a high-quality hospitality environment. The ideal candidate should have a foundation in North Indian Cuisine , Continental dishes , and local cuisines of West Bengal . You will work closely under the guidance of senior chefs to ensure the delivery of exceptional food while maintaining the high standards of quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Food Preparation & Cooking: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes in various sections of the kitchen, including North Indian, Continental, and local West Bengal cuisines.
• Ingredient Handling: Properly handle and store food ingredients according to safety and hygiene standards.
• Menu Execution: Ensure the consistency and presentation of dishes in line with the set recipes and menu requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior chefs, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
• Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and order in your workstation and kitchen area, following all health and safety guidelines.
• Learning & Development: Actively engage in skill development and training programs to enhance your culinary knowledge and techniques, especially in North Indian and West Bengal cuisines.
• Stock Management: Assist in stock rotation and inventory management, ensuring the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients.
• Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that food is prepared with high standards and delivered with quality, keeping in mind the taste and presentation that aligns with guest expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 0-6 months or up to 1 year of experience as a Commi in a hotel, restaurant, or culinary environment. Experience in North Indian , Continental , and local West Bengal cuisines is preferred.
• Skills:
• Basic cooking skills and understanding of food preparation techniques.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety standards.
• Good communication skills to interact with kitchen and service teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve.
• Educational Qualification:
• Formal culinary training or a hospitality background is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
