Au Revior Wellness Resort Job Title: Commi 2nd (All-Rounder Cook) Location: [Au Revoir ], [Palakkad , Kerala] Department: Kitchen Reports To: Commi 1st / CDP Job Summary: The Commi 2nd (All-Rounder Cook) is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standards. The role involves working across various kitchen stations, supporting the senior chefs, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: 1. Food Preparation: - Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to the menu specifications. - Ensure ingredients are prepped, stored, and organized efficiently. - Follow recipes and presentation standards. 2. Kitchen Operations: - Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. - Assist in inventory management, including receiving and checking deliveries. - Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the Head Chef or Sous Chef. 3. Collaboration and Teamwork: - Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and provide support where needed. - Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff. - Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. 4. Quality Control: - Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and consistency. - Monitor food stock and minimize waste. - Adhere to portion control guidelines. 5. Health and Safety: - Comply with all health and safety regulations. - Participate in regular kitchen cleaning and maintenance schedules. - Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items. Qualifications: - Diploma in culinary certification or Hotel Management. Minimum 1 year course. - Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment. - Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills. - Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods. - Dexterity to perform various kitchen tasks efficiently.
