Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Commi Chef specializing in Andhra vegetarian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of traditional cooking methods, spices, and flavors unique to Andhra Pradesh and be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and production of authentic Andhra vegetarian dishes.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain mise en place for daily operations.
• Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards.
• Assist in the quality control of dishes and monitor freshness of ingredients.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service.
• Help in the inventory management of kitchen supplies specific to Andhra cuisine.
• Contribute to menu planning with suggestions for traditional and innovative dishes.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Commi Chef or in a similar role specializing in Andhra cuisine.
• In-depth knowledge of traditional Andhra spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment and tools safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Certification in culinary arts or relevant field is a plus.
• Fluency in Telugu and/or Kannada is an advantage.
