• Preparation and Production:
• Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, including bread, cakes, cookies, pastries, and other desserts.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or the guidance of senior chefs.
• Ensure baked goods are consistent in quality, taste, and presentation.
• Kitchen Operations:
• Prepare baking equipment, tools, and ingredients for daily operations.
• Operate bakery machinery such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workstation and storage areas.
• Quality Control:
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines accurately to minimize waste.
• Ensure baked products meet quality and safety standards.
• Report any issues with ingredients, recipes, or equipment to the supervisor.
• Learning and Development:
• Observe and learn from senior chefs to improve skills and techniques.
• Take instructions and execute tasks as assigned by senior chefs.
• Stay updated on bakery trends, techniques, and recipes.
• Hygiene and Safety:
• Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Follow food safety regulations and company policies.
• Properly store and handle raw materials to prevent spoilage or contamination.
• Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in training new or junior staff members as required.
