• Production Tasks:
• Prepare doughs, batters, and mixtures for baking, following recipes and guidelines.
• Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and sheeters safely and efficiently.
• Bake, finish, and decorate bread, pastries, and desserts as per specifications.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all products meet quality standards in taste, appearance, and texture.
• Adjust recipes or techniques as needed to maintain consistency.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Assist in managing inventory levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled.
• Hygiene and Safety:
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards as per HACCP and kitchen regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workstation and overall bakery area.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.
• Provide support to senior chefs and guide junior staff as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry production role.
• Skills: Proficiency in baking techniques, knowledge of equipment, and basic decoration skills.
• Education: Culinary certification in baking/pastry is preferred.
• Attributes: Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
