Job Title: Commis II/iii (Continental Cuisine)
Location: Bakery House, Gurgaon sector-30
Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

Job Summary:

Bakery House is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis II/iii to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continental cuisine, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Commis II/iii, you will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of continental dishes according to the standards set by the Head Chef.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Support the kitchen team in various duties, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and plating dishes.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
• Assist in the storage and rotation of food items according to established guidelines.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas for menu development.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a continental cuisine setting.
• Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• A proactive approach to learning and developing new skills.
