For this role, we are looking for someone who comes with strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) with 5-7 years of experience in driving consumer comms/PR for both external and internal stakeholders, influencer and KOL (key opinion leader) engagement, new-age and lifestyle media, and leading creative campaign/storytelling. Familiar with navigating social media platforms and media trends. Experience with leading in change and strong stakeholder management skills.
Preferred: Experience with crisis communication

• Up-to-date knowledge of the complete media landscape (including the latest trends in social media), activation and measurements
• Knowledge of consumer/commercial PR- tools, formats, trends
• Experience with leading campaigns, strategy, planning and execution
• Understanding of the overall communications function- PR, Public affairs, internal communications/talent brand, crisis communications
• Strong media relations amongst the lifestyle, new-age and retail media
• Good experience of scaling conversations across earned, owned and paid channels; leading PR events; managing agency partnerships and deliverables, efficient at operational processes
• Up to date knowledge of creating and maintaining goodwill and a positive brand image amongst various stakeholders through PR activities
• Strong knowledge of using insights to formulate communication, PR strategies, plans and activities that can help meet IKEA business and receiver needs
• Passionate about consumer trends, Life at Home, home furnishing trends, communication & modern digital retailing trends and efficient at making them relevant in everyday work
• Affinity with creating engaging communication and working with media relations and stakeholder management
• Ability to take a leading role in communication with the business goal, co-workers and public trust in focus
• Proactive attitude in problem-solving, creative mind-set, and hands-on approach
Your responsibilities
To contribute to the positioning of the IKEA brand and its range as unique, meaningful and trusted and the preferred choice in home furnishing products and solutions. To ensure professional media & influencers relations with effective and engaging commercial PR communications, supporting IKEA and the market commercial agenda & priorities. To drive an open and sharing culture and being a role model of the IKEA values.
• Execute and implement the local integrated communication plan - with focus on commercial PR; and secure alignment with the global communication plans;
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the market communication projects & Media Relations agenda
• Implement and execute media/stakeholder engagement strategies for reactive, proactive and activist communication
• In close collaboration and aligned with the Marketing team, secure the planning, execution and optimizing the use of earned media, as part of an integrated media approach to maximize commercial impact, drive business results and improve cost efficiency of results
• Monitor and analyze media to measure results as well as identify proactive opportunities and potential risk issues
• Participate in the process for country on-duty phone and media product loans
• Drive project management for commercial PR projects, taking the stakeholder perspective
• Work with stakeholder analysis and stakeholder management to be able to deliver to the needs of the business
• Enable effective internal communication and assist in the creation of prerequisites for our leaders and co-workers to be our best ambassadors
• Define, plan, create/execute and follow up on commercial PR communication
• Develop alongside other communicators and tap into wider resources, i.e. social/digital, PR, stakeholder engagement, campaigns etc
• Responsible for providing support and direction for communication around commercial events
• Actively encourage improvement of content creation, based on trends in communication and the latest developments within commercial PR
