JOB DESCRIPTION:MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE Summarize the main purpose of the role.Manages, implement and administer Sales and Marketing activities. Largely involved in formulating Sales and Marketing plans, guidelines, policies and short-term strategies as well as setting goals and targets. Provides guidance to team leaders. Responsible for career development of team leaders.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies advanced knowledge and skills in Sales and Marketing.
- Involved in implementation of customer acquisition programmes and distribution strategy.
- Independent on meeting operational objectives and requires only general guidelines.
- Lead, direct, and control all sales and marketing functions so activities meet the organisations business objectives, comply with regulations, and protect the organisations reputation.
- Activities may include: market research, forecasting, pricing, marketing campaigns, business development activities, customer service, invoicing and payment administration.
- May be involved in negotiating terms of sales with clients.
- Responsible for establishing targets in areas such as product mix, sales volume, market share, or business development for own department and monitoring performance of the department against these goals.
